I'm going back to school! I've finally found out what to do with my life, so I'm very excited right now.

I'm going to apply to the MUN school of music! The entrance requirements are brutal, but I really think I can do it, if I don't get in my first try I'll just try again. I won't be able to apply though for another year or so because I need to study. The requirements are like 4 or 5 perfected level 9 pieces all from different time periods and composers, like Bach, Beethoven, the baroque period and so on so forth. Also they have to be sanatas and different movements.

I need to know all the major and minor scales, harmonic and melodic scales, and arpagios. All 4 octaves. that's like 70+ scales.

I need my level 2 theory, which I am taking the exam for this May, so that's in the bag.

And I need to know sight reading....which is my weak point, but I have a year or two that I can really work on it.

All in all, I don't think it's out of my reach, I'm already studying my grade 9 music anyways, and that includes all the stuff I need to know to get in, so I think I'm good.

In the meantime, while I'm studying my grade 9 to get into music school, I'm going to apply to MUN anyways, and take a few electives that will go along with my major of choice. Plus a few that I just want to do for the fun of it, like Anthropology, I've always been interested in archeology, so that should be fun. Some of the other courses I'll need to take would be english, because I need that if I want to do any type of education anyways.

I'm really excited about it, and can get rid of all these dead end jobs that have been sucking all the life out of me. And do something that I can actually be proud of, which if and when I get a real job, I'll have decent pay, all of me weekends/holidays off, not to mention my summers, which would be paid for. And I can still teach private lessons on the side.

Sorry that there's been no art from me lately. I've realized that art isn't really my passion anymore. I still love it, and it's still a great pass time, but I have to be inspired to get anything decent out of me lately, not to mention time....which I don't have a lot of anymore. I'm actually still getting close to full time hours right now at work, which is a surprise because hours are usually cut this time of year, but we've had a couple of people off the last month and another month coming up, due to injuries and what not, so there's been a lot of hours to cover. Which is great because it's more money, but which is also bad because it's a life sucking job haha. So yeah, with that and having to put a lot of time into my piano lessons, I don't have a lot of free time, and the free time that I do have I like to take for me....so that means I haven't really socialized a whole lot lately...unless someone comes to the house. I rarely go out anymore.

Anyways, that is my SUPER long update. My kitties are doing well, my husband is doing well, I guess that's all to report.

P.S. To two girls. You know you you are. We MUST finish Fushigi Yuugi!!
